About Me
Norfolk-born. Thirty years in London. Moved back to Norfolk in 2002.
A career focusing on young people, the challenges they face and the risks they run.
Trying to help them to reduce those risks. especailly in relation to drugs and gambling.
I did this through creating educational resources, developing good practice, and making policy interventions.
I've been a member, and acting chair, of a Welsh Government advisory panel on drugs. I was treasurer, and acting chair, of DrugScope (then a major UK drugs charity). And for seven years I was a member of the GB Gambling Commission Advisory Board on safer gambling.
I've worked internationally with the Council of Europe and with other multinational bodies.
I'm married, with three step-sons, an adopted son, and 10 grandchildren.
I keep chickens, garden and enjoy a peaceful, active retirement.
